Geology Trifle

A few friends at work passed the PG. I had to honor them by making some kind of dessert. So I created a trifle that resembles Florida soil layers. One of my friends actually labeled it for me.

The bottom is rice krispie treats. The clays are pistachio pudding & butterscotch pudding. Then the sand is crushed graham crackers. Surprisingly it actually tasted good. It was sweet, but good.

Baked Ziti

So yummy....

Deviled eggs

I'm on a mission to find the right kind of heat to make my delicious (sweet) deviled eggs a little spicy. So I set a variety out at work today. I've gotten mixed reviews. None are the one. So the taste testing will continue...

Second dinner (last with Bernie attending) was once again a success. And scrumptious!

Mediterranean Rosemary Tomato Chicken

Mediterranean Tuna Casserole

Baklava (Strawberry, Walnut & Almond)

Unfortunately the Tiropita (Cheese pie) & Red Lentil Soup did not get their photos taken. Both were successful as well.

Our next menu will be Thai or Asian.

Losing our virginity

I'm the cook/baker out of my group of friends. A friend & I have decided to start organizing dinner parties once a month. Themed. We all make a new dish, from scratch. This month is 'tapas/appetizers'. Some of our other themed ideas are: Mediterranean, Asian, American/picnic, Mexican/Hispanic, soups, sides, brunch, desserts, french cuisine, Cajun, southern. Wow...that's a good list. We're set for this entire year. This shall indeed be educational but fun. I look forward to us all expanding our cooking/baking skills.
